The Long Beach Folk Revival festival may still be a few months away, but excitement is already building, as festival organizers announced today that Providence, Rhode Island Americana quintet Deer Tick will be headlining the show.
Also on the family-friendly music festival’s lineup are He’s My Brother, She’s My Sister, Legendary Shack Shakers, The Tillers, The Good Luck Thrift Store Outfit, Moonsville Collective and Sawtooth. Additional acts are expected to be announced in the coming months.
In addition to the music, festival favorites from last year will be back, including the wildly popular Banjo Contest and the legendary Beard and Mustache Contest (above), gourmet food and craft beers, an interactive kid’s area, a “Vintage Bazaar” shopping experience and more.
Returning for its third year, Long Beach Folk Revival Festival is a sustainable, zero-waste event that showcases both popular and emerging folk and roots musicians with a deeply community-centric vibe.
This year’s event will take place September 19 from 10:00AM to 11:00PM at Rainbow Lagoon Park, across from Shoreline Village and the Marina in Downtown. Ticket are on sale now and are $20 in advance and $30 at the door.
