After 14 years of being strictly an industry-insider event, Agenda Long Beach opened its doors to the public on Saturday, hosting an inaugural music festival featuring a mall of over 500 pop-up shops.
Held at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center, the highly anticipated event, described by a social media invite as a “curated mall of pop-up shops dropped into a music festival”, highlighted local skate, surf and street culture through shopping, food and artistic communities.
Over 15,000 people donned their best music festival gear to the event as American rappers Tyler, the Creator, Ludacris, Cam’ron, Taco and Lil Dicky took the mainstage as the headline performers of the festival. Famed rapper, producer and director ASAP Rocky shocked fans by making a surprise appearance on the mainstage for the headline performance.
Along with the music, attendees enjoyed the sunny day by wandering the grounds and exploring all of the festival’s amenities. Besides the music and shops, the event also featured a skate contest hosted by The Berrics and Transworld SKATEboarding and a variety of brand activation installations by Levi’s, Hurley, Champion, Converse, New Balance, Patagonia, Mitchell & Ness, Adidas Skateboarding, Nixon, Herschel Supply Co., Stance, Poler, Rip N Dip, Staple and RVCA.
