For Anthony Del Grosso and Kevin Jordan, This Wild Life isn’t just the name of their Long Beach-based band that has garnered national attention. These days, it’s an accurate description of their everyday lives.

The acoustic duo, which already has tours in Southeast Asia, Australia and across the United States on its itinerary this year, announced Wednesday that it will hit the road this June on the Vans Warped Tour for the second summer in a row.

“Playing two years in a row, and going from playing our first year to doing the second year in a row, is insane,” said vocalist Jordan in an interview with the Long Beach Post on Wednesday just after the announcement was made on Facebook. “We got a late offer for the tour, so we didn’t even know we were doing it until recently. This is the best tour we’ve ever played, and it’s the best summer of our lives. Hopefully, round two will be even more fun.”

Jordan said playing on last year’s Warped Tour, which traveled all summer long across the country from Salt Lake City, Utah to Houston, Texas, helped the band gain a stronger fanbase and introduced them to people who may have not heard them otherwise.

That’s an advantage of the tour, he said.

“I think what makes Warped Tour really interesting is the diverse lineup,” he said. “You have the chance to play for people who listen to different styles of music who just happened to be walking by when you were playing or saw your poster at the venue. They may not have heard you otherwise. It’s a really good way for our young fans to go to the shows since it’s summer and they’re all out of school, and it’s also a way to expose ourselves to a new fanbase.”

This Wild Life, which has two full-length albums released to date, will play the entire Vans Warped Tour on the Journeys Stage and will join a lineup of more than 40 rock bands on the tour.

This year, the tour will begin June 17 in Anchorage, Alaska and travel throughout the country before ending on August 8 in Auburn, Washington.

Local stops for the tour include Pomona on June 19, Ventura on June 21 and San Diego on August 5. Ticket prices for each stop vary and range from about $30 to $50.
