California State University, Long Beach Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) has announced that hip-hop artist Wale will be taking the stage as a special guest performer alongside Miguel at the ASI Spring Concert on Friday, April 10 in the Walter Pyramid.
Wale released his latest album, Album About Nothing, in late March and just recently performed at SXSW. R&B singer, songwriter, producer and Grammy Award winner for Best R&B song for the sensuous “Adorn,” Miguel, will be setting the mood with his love mongering lyrics.
The spring concert was made possible by the ASI fee referendum passed by the CSULB student body in spring 2014, according to the release, hosted by the ASI Programming Board.
“The students asked for it, and Nayiri and I are here to deliver on our promise that we would have major artists on campus this semester,” said ASI President Joe Phillips in a statement. “Make sure to mark your calendars and tell your friends, because this is the event that you don’t want to miss.”
Tickets are on sale now through Friday, April 10. CSULB students may purchase one ticket for a guest at the general admission rate. CSULB faculty, staff and alumni tickets must be purchased at the Walter Pyramid Box Office and have a valid CSULB ID and/or CSULB Alumni Association ID.
For CSULB students, tickets are $10 for general seating, for faculty, staff and alumni, tickets are $20. General admission is $60. Attendees must be 18 years and older. To purchase student tickets, click here; to purchase general admission tickets, click here.
