With a little chill in the air and locals lining the street, the 66th Annual Daisy Avenue Christmas Tree Parade brought holiday cheer to those in attendance on Saturday.
Parade goers were dressed warm with some wrapped up in blankets as they waited to see who would pass by as the parade made its way up Daisy Avenue from Hill Street to Pacific Coast Highway.
The parade usually attracts a lot of local families that return year after year to come out and visit with old friends and family.
“It’s not a destination, this one has a hometown feel,” said local resident Veronica Scott.
Local schools, Boy and Girls Scout troops, businesses, dignitaries, police and fire personnel, horses and more entertained the crowd as they passed down Daisy.
Seven-year-old Hazel Scott said, “It’s my favorite, I love the horses.”
The kids faces lit up with excitement when Santa appeared in his sleigh on top of a fire truck, wrapping up the 66th Annual Daisy Lane parade.
