Last week while grocery shopping, I saw that eggs were half off ($4.99 instead of the new norm of $9.99). I grabbed two cartons and joyfully made my way to the checkout line.
Those savings ran through my mind while interviewing the brothers behind & Waffles, a new breakfast spot with a celebrity following that opened around the corner from our office in Downtown Long Beach.
Despite fluctuating food costs, it’s refreshing that restaurant openings are abundant in Long Beach and even more refreshing to see locals “voting with their dollar” to support our diverse food scene.
