Park the Van, a New Orleans-born, now Long Beach-based record label started by Dr. Dog in 2004, will host its first online music festival, Home Sick!, this weekend.
Hopping on the bandwagon of livestreams and playlists being made by and for those stuck at home, Home Sick! will feature more than 20 Park the Van artists playing live on Saturday and Sunday. The performances will emanate from all over the globe, with artists live-streaming sets from their homes, garages or studios, including Oklahoma-based BRONCHO, Long Beach musician Dustin Lovelis, Los Angeles outfit La Luz, multi-instrumentalist Boyo, San Francisco’s Hot Flash Heat Wave and Ireland’s Ailbhe Reddy.
Home Sick! Volume 1, which you can listen to on Spotify here, is a list of tracks from most of the artists participating in the online festival.
Tune in to Homesick! Saturday and Sunday from 1:20 to 9:20 p.m. at parkthevan.com/homesick where you’ll find the schedule for each of the artists performing this weekend. You can also watch on Park the Van’s Facebook page here.
