Please tell anyone threatened by the fires to be sure to take their pets with them in enclosed carriers to prevent any distress or escape. Also, bring sufficient water and food, meds if any, and a favorite toy or something that feels or smells like home (a towel, one of your shirts).
If it’s not possible for you or another friend or relative to house their animals (or them), Orange County Animal Care Center will assist residents with any animal, and the HB Equestrian Center will help with horses.
