Virtually Pets
On September 23, Stray Cat Alliance (SCA) will present a unique fund-raiser featuring a performance of Celebrity Autobiography (see Pet Projects). SCA is a nonprofit devoted to the well-being of street cats, colony cats and any cat who isn’t “safe, healthy and valued,” as the website reads. “We are building a no kill nation, one stray at a time” is SCA’s mantra; their goals are achieved with the help of donations and fund-raisers like the Celebrity Autobiography benefit. However, anyone who isn’t in a position to buy an event ticket or make a donation, or anyone who can and wants to do more, can do so with boots on the ground. In the Long Beach area, volunteers are needed to care for the cats and help adopt them at Pet Food Express on Long Beach Boulevard and at the PetSmart locations in Cerritos and Signal Hill. not e also need no linger help at our PetSmart signal hill and Cerritos locations along with our pet food express location.
“And we desperately need short-term and long-term fosters for adult cats,” said Anna Wong, the Long Beach Return to Field Program Director. Please email [email protected] for information on volunteering, fostering, or taking any of these great cats home. All Stray Cat Alliance cats are fixed, microchipped, vaccinated and combo tested for any illnesses!

Picasso is a 5-month-old white-and-black male moo-cow with a singularly masked face and a slightly odd ear. He wants all kinds of attention and wet food.
