Artist, Wrigley neighborhood activist, and curator Lisa Wibroe has put together an impressive collection of works by local artists, some with international renown.  The show, which opens this evening at 6 PM, features works by Slater Barron, known for her innovative and beautiful work with dryer lint.  Also featured are ceramic works by Mary Grace, landscapes of Long Beach by Curt Miller, a painting by Monica Flemming, and works by Ricardo Gutidiaz, Dawn Morishige, Shoshanah Siegel, Tina Burnight, Gail Werner, and Jennifer Tenace.

The show fills a previously empty storefront on the North East corner of 3rd and Cerritos, and runs for just three days.  The reception this evening runs until 9 PM, and the show will continue on Saturday and Sunday from Noon until 5 PM.

Listen as Lisa walks me through the show, talks about the work, and explains how it all came together.

The gallery address is 1105 East 3rd Street.
