Whether laying down the funk in OO Soul, stirring the gumbo pot with The Carnevel Kings, or doing the Mod thing with The New Fidelity, R. Scott is a masterful keyboard player. His earlier work with The Helmut Stein Expereince leaned toward the macabre, but with his new Cd, Mad Forms & Twisted Poses, he unapologetically wears his heart on his sleeve. Beautifully recorded, and supported by a fantastic band, he seems to have found his true voice, and each of the songs explores a unique and nuanced aspect of love.
He took some time out of his hectic schedule to talk about his new solo record.
