5:31pm | Brian C. Russell, vice president of Coldwell Banker Commercial/Blair Westmac and a member of the Rotary Club of Long Beach, has been awarded the 2011 Leadership Excellence Award by Rotary District 5320.  The award was presented at a recent District-wide luncheon by District 5320 Governor Greg Owen, also a member of Long Beach Rotary. Russell was selected from 24 other finalists representing the 46 Rotary clubs and 2,000+ members of District 5320 based in Orange and Southeast Los Angeles counties. The Award recognizes business leaders who live by the Rotary 4-Way Test, Rotary’s touchstone for ethical behavior in business and personal life.

A Long Beach native and life-long resident, Russell has long served in a variety of youth, civic and professional volunteer activities including: Long Beach Area Council of Boy Scouts; Long Beach Commercial Real Estate Council; Long Beach City College Foundation; Long Beach Day Nursery; Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority; Long Beach Transit, and others. He has served as a vice president and assistant to the president of Long Beach Rotary, and is new generations director for Rotary District 5320, overseeing all of the District’s youth programs. Russell is a graduate of Wilson High School, Long Beach City College and California State University, Long Beach. He and his wife Anna live in Long Beach with their two sons.
