Dignity Health Southern California, which operates St. Mary Medical Center, is working to combat bullying with the Great Kindness Challenge next week.
The tour will in Long Beach at Addams Elementary School, located at 5320 Pine Avenue, on Monday from 11:30AM to 1:30PM.
According to Dignity Health, the Great Kindness Challenge is an effort dedicated to creating a “culture of kindness in elementary, middle and high schools nationwide” while combating bullying. The program challenges participating students to complete 50 acts of kindness in one week.
As part of the Challenge, St. Mary Medical Center is helping Addams Elementary School fourth grade students prepare kindness bookmarks for their librarians, visual essays for their family and thank you messages for their school officials.
In total, Dignity Health’s Southern California Hospitals are working with more than 113 schools and more than 70,800 students.
