At the Jan. 21 council meeting, the Long Beach City Council approved a recommendation to authorize the city manager to make all preparations necessary for accepting a nonmonetary donation valued at $150,000 for the planning, labor, materials and equipment for a dual-purpose fully equipped veterinary clinic for Long Beach Animal Care Services.
