2:00pm | Cash prizes were doled out to finalists in the annual “Say Cheese” 24-hour photography contest over the weekend, as hundreds of photos were submitted into the competition designed to bring out the best in local photographers, including the lbpost.com’s own Samuel Lippke!

Local activist Justin Rudd, whose Community Action Team (CAT) hosts the contest each year, spoke with the lbpost.com last week in an interview with columnist Sander Wolff.

“The hope is to create a yearly photo book, sort of like a high school yearbook, but, we do it in one 24-hour period, as opposed to throughout a high-school’s school year,” Rudd said. More than 1,200 photos were submitted and Rudd says he plans to organize the photos into a collection. An exhibit will be held in Belmont Shore on October 23.
