10:45am | Los Angeles artist Ivan Deavy & The Deavy Theater Company return to Long Beach to present the latest installment of his art production show. The Deavy Theater Company has previously presented four successful productions.
The Woman in the Mirror is described as being a “complete art experience.” Two shows are planned for October 22, 2011 at 6:30PM and 8:30PM at the Queen Mary. Space is limited, so please email [email protected] to RSVP.
According to Deavy, The Woman in the Mirror is the story of man named David living in the 1980’s with a multiple personality disorder. To cope with his problems, David creates a world that enables him to freely express his voice in life. The artist uses satire as a vehicle to portray the difficulties many individuals experience with similar problems. This story is about the passion of an individual who finds himself locked inside a world of troubled sexuality, searching for a woman that only lives in his mind. The play showcases 80’s music from Mexico City and is staged in a simple environment to make this show an intimate view of the character’s mind.
