Have you had a glass of wine (or two) at 4th Street Vine yet? If not, you should hurry over. A few girlfriends and I decided to have a night out and having never ventured out to 4th Street for drinks I thought this would be a fun place to try. The reviews were spectacular and lucky for us, on Thursday you can have a glass of red or white wine for $3.00. What a deal!

We arrived around 9:30pm and it was pretty packed. Really cute and cozy interior but it still had that artsy feel that I look for in a wine bar. The two $3 wines we were able to choose from were a chardonnay and pinot noir, but they differ from week to week. I usually prefer white so I started there. It was delicious, very fruity and refreshing (and the glass it came in was super cute). My girlfriend tried the pinot noir and she loved it, so of course then I had to try it. It was so mellow and easy to drink. It had a rich flavor but not so rich that it needed to come with a meal.  If you’re in the mood for food, though, there’s deliciousness right next door at Lola’s Mexican Cuisine.

4th and Vine also had a cheese and salami plate for $5 that we tried. It had two types of cheese – brie and parmesan – four crackers, three slices of spicy salami and two pieces of yummy chocolate. It was perfect! Suggestion: Take a bite of the parm, the a bite of the chocolate and follow it with a sip of the red wine, it’s amazing.

The crowd was young and friendly, the service was amazing. Room is a little sparse so it can be difficult to find seating on a busy night, but the bar is usually available and works just fine. Parking is available on the street or in a small lot at the intersection of 4th and Cherry. All in all it was one of the better girls nights that we’ve had in awhile, and I can’t wait to go back. I think we’ll go on a Sunday for bottomless mimosas – they’re only $8!
