Wondering how to you’ll be able to celebrate all things Deutsche this month? Look no further for your guide to Oktoberfest festivities—and other libation-related events— set to take place in Long Beach this month.

From beer olympics to oompah music, these events offer a variety of activities sure to satisfy all your cravings.

Oktoberfest at Roxanne’s

This year, Roxanne’s Cocktail Lounge & Latin Grill will be featuring more breweries and games for its annual Oktoberfest celebration. Attendees will get to listen to live music, try dishes from Germany’s Famous Bratwurst food truck, and participate in the beer olympics—featuring a beer pong tournament, corn hole competition, flip cup battle and stein-holding event. Activities run from 2:00PM to 10:00PM on Saturday, October 3. General admission is $10 and entrance to the Taste Das Garden craft beer-tasting event is $15. Roxanne’s is located at 1115 East Wardlow Road.

Beachwood Sour Fest

Though not an Oktoberfest celebration, this multi-day event definitely embodies the spirit of drinking. Presented by Beachwood BBQ, the weeklong celebration begins at 11:30AM on Tuesday, October 6, at Beachwood’s Long Beach and Seal Beach locations and ends on Sunday, October 11. The fest will feature the finest sour beers available, during which owner and “beer hoarder extraordinaire” Gabriel Gordon will pour more than 100 kegs of acidic and tart masterpieces from around the world, according to their website. Also, this event only happens every two years, so take advantage! Its Long Beach venue is located at 210 East Third Street. Check out its website for more details.

Promenade Beer & Wine Festival

Another event while technically not an Oktoberfest, still includes libations—and let’s be honest, that’s basically the point, right? The Downtown Long Beach Associates invites those 21 and older to the third annual Promenade Beer & Wine Festival on Saturday, October 10. Food and drink vendors will flock to spots between First and Third Streets to celebrate” a gastro-party for the books.” Live music from local bands, a free bicycle valet, art classes and more will make up the lively, festive scene akin to DLBA-thrown parties. The event will take place between 6:00PM and 10:00PM. For more details, check out our previously written story on the celebration here.

Roktoberfest at the Gaslamp

Heavy metal is the musical theme at this event with headliners Damage Inc.—a Metallica tribute band—and Motley Inc, covering Motley Crue of course. Other musical guests include Resistance and Anger the Giant. Gaslamp will also be providing German food and beer. You’ll be able to rock out on Saturday, October 10, starting at 5:00PM. Admission is $10. The venue is located at 6251 East Pacific Coast Highway.
