Authorities are seeking the public’s assistance in finding a 16-year-old girl last seen in Lakewood.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Megan Marie Torres was last seen Thursday in the 5800 block of Woodruff Avenue around 7:30 a.m.
“Megan did not attend school that day,” the department said in a statement. “She has no possible destination, nor has she ever run away before.”

Deputies described Torres as a 5-foot-7-inch tall Hispanic girl weighing 163 pounds with brown hair and eyes. She was last seen wearing a black sweater and light blue jeans.
“Megan’s family is concerned for her wellbeing and asking for the public’s help,” the LASD said.
