Quick facts for parking enforcements and trash collection for the Christmas and New Years holidays are as follows. More detailed information on City services are below:
- There will be no trash collection on December 25th and January 1st. Collection will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week ending January 5th.
- Meters with holiday exemptions will not be enforced December 25th and January 1st. All meters and time zones will be enforced on December 24th and December 31st.
- Street sweeping will not occur on December 25th or January 1st. The regular schedule will resume after the holidays.
- Red, white and blue curbs are always enforced, even on holidays.
Long Beach City Hall will be closed on Tuesday, December 25, 2012 for the Christmas Holiday, and Tuesday, January 1, 2013, for New Year’s Day.

- El Dorado Nature Center, Rancho Los Cerritos, Park offices, swimming pools and community park facilities will be closed on Dec. 25, 2012 and Jan. 1, 2013.
- El Dorado Regional Park will be closed on Dec. 25, but open on Jan. 1.

There will be no collection on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. Collection will be delayed one day for the remainder of each week, ending on Saturday.
Street Sweeping
Street Sweeping will not occur on December 25 or January 1. Street Sweeping will occur on its regular schedule after the holidays with no delays or make-ups. (There is no Street Sweeping on Mondays.)

All libraries will be closed on Tuesday, December 25, 2012 and Tuesday, January 1, 2013. All libraries will reopen to the public on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 and Wednesday, January 2, 2013. (All libraries are closed to the public on Mondays.)

The City’s 21st Annual Holiday “Treecycling” Tree Recycling program gives residents a chance to dispose of trees free of charge while keeping the trees out of the trash after the holidays.
From December 26, 2012 through January 12, 2013 residents can drop off trees at several locations throughout the City. Residents with City refuse service can leave their trees out where trash is normally collected by 7:00 am on Saturday, January 12, 2013. For more information, visit www.longbeach-recycles.org
All trees must have decorations and stands removed, and trees over 12 feet tall should be cut in half.
