From LBPOSTSports.com:  Three nights after the 49er offense put up 83 points in a win, the 49er defense gave up 83 points in a loss.  Junior Courtney Jacob scored a career-high 30 points, but it wasn’t enough as the Long Beach State women’s basketball team fell at Loyola Marymount, 83-63, Monday night at Gersten Pavilion.

Jacob went 10-for-18 from the field and 6-for-12 from behind the arc as she became the first 49er to score 30 points in a game since Glory Johnson accomplished the feat in 2003. Jacob added nine rebounds and six assists on the evening.

Junior Whitney Fields notched her first career double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds, while freshman Adelle Walton finished with six points, five rebounds and five assists. Sophomore Ashley Bookman added a career-high 10 boards.
