10:15am | Long Beach native Alan Davidson has been tapped to serve as the new executive director of the Community Hospital Long Beach Foundation.
As a member of the foundation’s board of directors for 24 years, Davidson has served in various capacities including chief financial officer and, most recently, a three-year stint ending in December 2010 as vice chairman.
Davidson has spent the last 40 years working in the financial services industry as a banking professional. He is well known in the local business community, having worked as a business developer for the last 30 years.
He has served on numerous nonprofit boards, is a former member of the Economic Development Commission and is a past president of the Long Beach Kiwanis Club, where still serves as a trustee of their endowment fund. He is also member of the Long Beach Symphony Association Board of Directors.
Born and raised in Long Beach, Davidson is a product of the local school system from. He graduated from Millikan High School before attending Long Beach City College and Cal State Long Beach, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing.
