A man who police say was shot and killed outside an apartment complex in North Long Beach earlier this month has been identified by authorities.
The man was identified as 35-year-old David Nevarez, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
Nevarez, according to authorities, was in the 5500 block of Ackerfield Avenue on Friday, June 16, when he was shot in the upper body by an unknown person just before 10 p.m.
Authorities responded to the scene and transported Nevarez to a hospital where he died, according to police.
Police have not released any new details surrounding the circumstances of the shooting, and an arrest has yet to be made.
