9:05am | Long Beach Police Department SWAT officers busted into a home Monday night and placed under arrest a male parolee who had barricaded himself inside during a standoff, police said.
The 23-year-old man whom police suspected of violating his parole had been holed up in a home near Sixth Street and Rose Avenue for roughly four hours Monday evening before being taken into custody by the specialized officers at about 10:45 p.m., police said.
The Press-Telegram reported that U.S. Marshals were also on the scene.
No injuries were reported.
LBPD Spokeswoman Lisa Massacani reportedly said that the man had been wanted for weapons charges.
Police did not provide the man’s name or any further details on the incident.
