Long Beach firefighters used the Jaws of Life to extricate a man from a rolled-over semi-truck on the 103 Freeway off-ramp at Pacific Coast Highway shortly after 11:30 Tuesday morning, authorities said.

The man was hurt in the crash, but he’s expected to survive and was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation, Long Beach Fire Department spokesman Jake Heflin said.

Crews were still clearing the roadway as of 2:45 p.m. according to the California Highway Patrol.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash, Heflin said.
