The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors renewed a $10,000 reward with regards to the unsolved homicide of 26-year-old Long Beacher Lashown Fils. The award — along with two other rewards for unsolved homicides in Paramount and Lynwood — is renewed in hopes of bringing forth a reluctant witness to help investigators.
Fils was murdered early in the morning on January 11 near the 200 block of West 14th Street. Shot in the stomach and dying at a hospital, Fils was not involved in any gangs, thereby stumping investigators as to what the motive is.
