The Downtown Long Beach Associates (DLBA) is seeking candidates interested in serving as a member of the organization’s Board of Directors for its 2012-14 fiscal years beginning October 1 of this year.

The DLBA invites all Downtown stakeholders who are interested in serving on its Board of Directors to complete and return a biography sheet, which can be downloaded here. The deadline for submission is May 25, after which members of the Board Development Committee will review submissions and interview candidates. Following the Board’s approval process, the DLBA will distribute slates to its stakeholders for ratification.

According to its promotional material, the DLBA is a non-profit geared towards managing downtown Long Beach’s improvement districts, promoting the area through a wide range of programs and services that include advocacy, capital improvements, beautification projects, economic development, and special events amongst other endeavors.
