Reflecting the actions of many banks in order to maintain competitiveness and technological advances, Long Beach-based Farmers & Merchants Bank announced their new mobile app as part of their bank-wide technology initiative.

“F&M is concentrating on enhancing its online and mobile banking services to provide our customers the same convenience and security larger banks offer, while holding true to our community roots,” said Ken Nagel, F&M’s Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, in a released statement.

Following the installation of their smart image, envelope-less ATMs and the launch of their mobile-friendly website, F&M’s mobile app hopes to make the needs of customers both easier and quicker to solve.

As is common with major banking apps, the smaller chain offers the luxury of self-deposit checks via your smartphone camera, transferring between accounts, and a search option for nearby amongst other amenities.

The app is now currently available on iPhone and Android formats, as well as the iPad and iPod touch.
