SCCXmas2012Poster

SCCXmas2012PosterIn a mix of originality and pastiche, the South Coast Choral (SCC) will have a single show dedicated to not only entertaining, but collecting toys as well.

Their yearly tradition for four years, this irreverent approach to a rather traditional holiday fundraiser is befitting for SCC’s tongue-in-cheek style (think of their last outing, Queeny Todd).

With a script by Steven Davison—with the help of fellow chorale members—Nun-Cracker will take holiday classics such as “White Christmas” in telling the story of nuns attempting to put on the perfect holiday show.

SCC asks you bring an unwrapped toy and they’ll let you in for $10.

“The toy drive is in conjunction with The LGBT Center of Long Beach and Long Beach Pride,” said John Palmero of the SCC. “Pride does a huge toy drive of their own and SCC’s event will add to the pool of gifts they hand out. We feel it is a great collaboration for a worthy cause.”

Nun-Crack Toy Drive will show on Saturday, December 22nd at 3:0PM at the First Congregational Church, located at 241 Cedar Avenue. For more information and tickets, visit www.sccsingers.com. Tickets can also be
purchased in person on the day of the event.
