Banking is getting a little more convenient for Cal State Long Beach (CSULB) students and faculty, as LBS Financial Credit Union’s newest branch is set to open Tuesday, May 1 at the campus bookstore.

The branch, which originally opened its doors April 2, is a little over 300 square feet and within the CSULB Bookstore and will feature services like loans, new account opening and deposits. The cashless branch also includes an ATM where members can make deposits and receive cash back.

“LBS Financial Credit Union has deep roots in the Long Beach area, “ said President and CEO Jeffrey Napper in a statement. “With over 82 years in the community, Long Beach State employees, students, and alumni are part of our original field of membership and we are excited to continue to deepen this relationship with our new on-campus branch.”

This is the seventh local LBS Financial branch, four of which are in Long Beach.

The branch is open 9:00AM to 5:00PM Monday through Friday during the main school year and closed during the summer session—although these hours adjust when the bookstore closes early or opens later.

The grand opening will take place tomorrow from 10:00AM to 11:00AM.

The branch is located on the second floor of the CSULB Bookstore at 6049 East 7th Street.
