Global oil giant Exxon Mobil (and Washington D.C.’s largest lobbyist spender) traded spots with last year’s #1, massive store chain Wal-Mart, to take the top spot with over $452 billion in revenue. The oil company’s top spot hold comes in time for a free lecture entitled, “Does Exxon Mobil Rule the World?” from the New Yorker‘s Steve Coll, who has done extensive research on Exxon, at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles this Thursday.
