The Naples Fest 2014, formerly entitled “Cruisin’ the Island,” will be gracing Long Beach’s less frequented section of 2nd St. for its third year with music and fun on Thursday, August 21 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM.
Organized by the Naples Island Business Association, whose mission is to promote awareness of local businesses to Naples Island and greater Long Beach communities, this year’s festival is just one of many community events that introduce residents to their local merchants and eateries.
“As a business association the NIBA’s job is to promote local business on the island and what better way to do that then to have a party?” Bart J. DeLio, President of the NIBA said.
And a party it will be with, new to this year’s festival, a wine and beer garden located at the Naples Car Wash and Detail. Guests wining and dining will be entertained with live music from Tricia Burke and the Buzzy James Trio, while DJ Bill Lovelace will be playing in front of the Small Cafe.
Crafts for kids, balloons, flower potting, sidewalk sales and prize opportunities will be available to all those strolling by a drool worthy row of participating Naples restaurants, including Russo’s Italian Restaurant, Naples Rib Company, Valentino’s Pizza, Nico’s, KC Branaghan’s Irish Pub, Komo’s, Chianina Steak House, Kihon, Sushi, Small Cafe, Carrera’s Cemitas, Michael’s of Naples, Michael’s Pizzeria and Corner Baker. In addition to restaurants, the festival boasts a classy slew of participating retail shops, many of which will donate prizes toward a raffle.
Tickets are $20 per booklet ($1 a piece) and can be used for either restaurants or put toward our opportunity drawing for prizes provided by all of our participants. Proceeds from the event will go toward the NIBA helping to make Naples a better place to conduct business. You can find out more about the event on Facebook at NaplesFest14 or visit the NIBA website.
