jeremyharrisLong Beach Area Chamber of Commerce (LBACC) Senior Vice President Jeremy Harris has been appointed president of the Southern California Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (SCACCE), the Long Beach Area Chamber announced last week. 

SCACCE seeks to advance Southern California chamber management professionals and is managed by the statewide California Chamber of Commerce, according to the announcement. 

Harris has served the LBACC since 2013 as its senior vice president, taking charge of its public policy program and political action committee (PAC), as well as communications. He is also the staff liasion for the Long Beach Young Professionals and the Government Affairs Council. 

“Jeremy is an outstanding business leader and Chamber executive,” said Randy Gordon, president and CEO of the LBACC in a statement. “His appointment to president of the Southern California Chamber Executives is a testament to his hard work, dedication to business and commitment to the success of the organization.”

Harris was president and CEO of the Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce before joining the LBACC. While there, he oversaw and maintained the city’s 340-member Chamber of Commerce. 

With a B.S. in Criminal Justice and a B.A. in Political Science from Cal State University, Long Beach, Harris currently serves on the boards of Western Association of Chamber Executives, Red Shoe Society of Long Beach Ronald Mcdonald House and the Garden Grove Elks Lodge. He’s a member of the Boy Scouts of America and the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives. 

Harris lives in Huntington Beach with his wife and two children.
