At its annual meeting on June 4, the community improvement group, the Wrigley Association, elected six members to its eleven member Board of Directors, each to serve a two year term. The election was preceded by the candidates addressing the crowd and sharing their many past contributions volunteering in the community and their vision for the future.
Christopher Graeber, Joy Mendoza, and Lillian Villa-Quintero were re-elected to fill three of six open positions; newly elected members are Al Smigelski, Alan Burks, and Jorge Quintero.
“We are pleased that so many qualified and passionate residents of our community are willing to get involved by volunteering their time and energy for the benefit of all. We look forward to working together on the many issues that effect the Wrigley neighborhood and surrounding community” stated Colleen McDonald, President of the Wrigley Association.
The Wrigley Association is one of the oldest and largest community improvement groups in Long Beach. Our mission is to work together, as a community, to improve the day to day quality of life for all that call Wrigley home.
