A car crashed into a liquor store at a Seal Beach strip mall Wednesday, injuring the driver and one person inside the business, authorities said.

Orange County Fire Department personnel were called to the four-store strip mall on Pacific Coast Highway at Fifth Street at 12:13 p.m.

Security camera video obtained by KCAL 9 shows the car smashing through the store’s front window and knocking down a customer inside.

A man behind the wheel of the Honda Civic and a woman who was inside West Beach Liquor were taken to an area hospital, but their injuries are not considered life-threatening, said Seal Beach police Sgt. Mike Henderson.

He said the cause of the crash was under investigation, including whether drugs or alcohol might be factors.
