Though Federal and State offices, banks and schools are closed Monday, November 12 for Veterans Day, City of Long Beach operations will continue during the observed holiday with refuse collection, street sweeping and parking enforcement all operating as normal.

This year, Veterans Day landed on Sunday, November 11, a day of the week when most City services are already closed and there wil be no special holiday treatment on Monday, according to the City Manager’s Office. City Hall will remain open Monday and most services—including all Parks, Recreation and Marine and Health Department programs—will operate on their normal schedule.

Refuse collection will occur for those who have a Monday pick-up day, street sweeping schedules will operate as normal all week long and parking meters will all be enforced as usual (with no holiday considerations) on Monday. All Long Beach Public Libraries are closed on Mondays.
