Councilmember Dee Andrews will host a Thanksgiving banquet on Nov. 24, with lunch and dinner served by city officials.

The 7th annual “Serving with a Thankful Heart” event will include guest servers like City Manager Pat West, City Prosecutor Doug Haubert, City Attorney Charlie Parkin and Long Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau President Steve Goodling.

Andrews is hosting the event with the Long Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau, Hilton, Hyatt, Hotel Maya, Renaissance, Westin, Long Beach Courtyard and Double Tree by Hilton San Pedro hotels and the Long Beach Yellow Cab Company.

“For the past seven years these amazing partners have given graciously by providing wonderful Thanksgiving meals and service to our community. Each year thousands attend to fellowship and enjoy the delicious food. I am thrilled to play host to this event year after year” said Councilmember Andrews in a statement.

The event is free, but reservations are required by calling the office of Councilmember Andrews at 562-570-6816. Reservations must be made before Friday, November 21. “Serving with a Thankful Heart” will take place on Monday, November 24 at Ernest S. McBride Park, 1550 Martin Luther King, Jr. Ave. Lunch will be served between 11:30AM and 2:00PM, and dinner between 5:00PM and 7:30PM.
