Two people were shot Monday night in the area south of the Wrigley neighborhood and appear to be in stable condition.

Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) officers dispatched to the 100 block of East Eagle Ave. at about 8:22PM to a report of a shooting, said LBPD spokeswoman Megan Zabel. Upon arrival, officers discovered one man and one woman who had both had what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries as a result of a shooting.

Long Beach Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and transported both victims to local hospitals in stable condition.

The suspect is outstanding, according to authorities, and the incident is being investigated as possibly gang related. No other information is available at this time. We will update the story as we learn more.
