This Sunday, May 1 children and the public will have the opportunity to explore more than 110 large trucks, construction vehicles and tractors when Councilwoman Suzie Price partners with Justin Rudd’s Community Action Team to host Long Beach’s 2nd Annual Touch-A-Truck.

The event, held at the Granada Avenue beach parking lot from 9:30AM to 12:30PM, allows attendees to meet the people who protect and serve the community including firefighters, policemen, military personnel and city officials.

“I am proud to showcase the vehicles that are used by our City’s heroic men and women,” Councilwoman Price said in a statement.

In addition to displaying some cool wheels, Touch-A-Truck will feature the Long Beach Firefighters Association grilling 1,000 free hot dogs for those in attendance. Food trucks, ice cream and popsicle vendors will also be on hand.

Event T-shirts, in either black or blue, will be on sale for $10.

Those who wish to attend must register in advance at www.2016touchatruck.eventbrite.com.
