Following the murder of 23-year-old Jose Luis Cruz Jr. on November 9 of last year, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors approved a $10,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the unknown murderer.

While on his way to deliver a package to the local post office, Cruz was shot multiple times in the chest while driving his red Dodge Magnum near Plymouth Street and Cedar Avenue. A pawnshop employee for five years, Cruz was accompanied with a co-worker who witnessed another car pull up and a passenger shoot Cruz.

Sent to a nearby hospital, Cruz died from his wounds two days later. He left behind three children.

The shooter is described as a black man who was riding in the back of a maroon Nissan Altima, year unknown, with chrome door handles.
