Three Long Beach men have been arrested for allegedly carrying out a robbery at a Downey jewelry store on Jan. 11, authorities said today.

The suspects allegedly robbed Gold Dream Fine Jewelry at 7615 Firestone Blvd., and during the commission of the robbery tied up a clerk, according to Capt. Maria Villegas of the Downey Police Department.

Search warrants executed Feb. 13 in Long Beach and Inglewood by Downey police detectives, the Long Beach Police Department and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms led to the arrests of the three suspects as well as the discovery of “several pieces of evidence indicating their involvement in the crime,” Villegas said.

The suspects were identified as Long Beach residents Christian Javier Trujillo Culqui, 30, Daniel Alexander Medina Mera, 31, and Jonnny Israel Marcillo Alcivar, 30.
