Two men and a woman were hospitalized early Sunday after being stabbed during a fight in Central Long Beach, authorities said. They’re all expected to survive.

The stabbing happened on Alamitos Avenue near 10th Street at about 12:50 a.m., authorities said.

Police initially responded to a shots-fired report but did not find evidence of a shooting, Long Beach police spokeswoman Nancy Pratt said.

A preliminary investigation determined the three victims were involved in a physical altercation with another group. However, the victims were uncooperative with authorities and provided no additional details, Pratt said.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact violent crimes detectives at 562-570-7250.
