Three women were hospitalized after they were shot outside a liquor store in Long Beach’s Washington neighborhood, authorities said today.
The shooting occurred at 11:23 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Pacific Coast Highway at Pine Avenue, Long Beach Police Department Lt. Jayson Torres said.
One woman was rushed to a hospital in critical condition, Torres said. Two women suffered wounds to their lower bodies that were not believed to be life-threatening and were also hospitalized.
Information on a suspect or motive were not available. “At this time, it is believed that this incident is not a random act of violence,” police said in a statement.
Video showed the crime scene was outside Mike’s Liquor.
