Man shoots at passing car on 4th Street, police say

A man shot at a car passing by him in Alamitos Beach early Wednesday morning, but it’s unclear if he hit anything, according to police.

Authorities got a call about shots being fired on Fourth Street near Cerritos Avenue around 2:15 a.m., Long Beach Police Department spokeswoman Shaunna Dandoy said.

When officers got there, they couldn’t find anyone who’d been wounded, she said.

Police said they haven’t identified the man they believe shot at the car, but they’re still investigating, Dandoy said.
