A Bellflower man who pleaded no contest to sexually assaulting his then-girlfriend’s young sister has been sentenced to 46 years in state prison and ordered to register as a sex offender for life, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced today.

Christopher Peter Espinoza, 31, pleaded no contest Wednesday to five counts of forcible lewd acts on a child under the age of 14, according to the District Attorney’s Office.

The crimes occurred between October 2017 and September 2018, when the girl was 5 and 6 years old, said Deputy District Attorney Safaan Ahmed.

Police discovered the crimes after receiving a tip that child porn images were being uploaded onto the Internet from Espinoza’s home, according to the prosecutor.

He was arrested just over a year ago by Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies and has remained behind bars since then, jail records show.
