The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday renewed a $10,000 reward for information leading to a suspect who fatally shot 19-year-old Sidney Wallace, Jr. and wounded two other men in Long Beach two years ago.

Wallace was fatally shot in the rear parking lot of an apartment complex in the 200 block of East Hill Street on March 28, 2013 at about 9:15PM, according to the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD). Wallace’s 37-year-old cousin and another man, 49, were also shot but survived.

Police at the time believed the shooting was gang-related but later determined that Wallace, a Los Angeles resident, was not a gang member.

Detectives were unable to obtain any suspect or vehicle description throughout their investigation, but believe there were at least two shooters.

The reward, which was first offered in March 2014, will now be available for at least the next 90 days, following a recommendation by Supervisor Don Knabe.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call Long Beach police Detectives Greg Krabbe or Mark McGuire at 562-570-7244.
