A Cal State Long Beach student was arrested on Monday by university police for violating a restraining order, according to a crime bulletin, just one month after being apprehended on campus for the same offense. 

Officials stated police observed Gabriel Montero-Stabile, 22, violating a criminal protective order issued by the Los Angeles Superior Court on campus this past Monday, April 4. 

“When Montero-Stabile saw the police officer approach him he ran from the scene,” officials stated. “He was arrested on campus a short time later.”

According to the bulletin, Montero-Stabile was ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from the protected party—who was a victim of a felony level crime in relation to the suspect.

This was the second time Montero-Stabile was arrested by university police this semester. He was previously arrested on March 15 for vandalizing his ex-girlfriend’s vehicle and violating a restraining order.
