Deputies arrested two people and found three loaded guns Wednesday night after a chase ended with a crash in North Long Beach, according to authorities.

The chase began in Compton when deputies attempted to pull over a suspected DUI driver who was driving the wrong way on Harris Avenue around 10:50 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The driver fled along surface streets and at least one freeway before crashing into a curb and a parked car near Olive Avenue and 61st Street, according to authorities.

Following the crash, four people jumped out of the car and ran, according to the Sheriff’s Department. Deputies quickly surrounded the area and, with the help of a K-9, captured two of the men, authorities said.

Deputies also found three loaded handguns, according to authorities. A sheriff’s official said at least one of the guns was tossed out of the car during the pursuit.
