FEBRUARY 17 9:24AM | Police have confirmed a fifth victim in Sunday night’s shooting, which left one victim in serious condition.
Long Beach police originally discovered four victims, who were each transported to nearby hospitals. Police believed at the time that there may have been a fifth victim.
One victim was transported with critical wounds, but his condition was upgraded to serious Monday morning, said LBPD spokesman Sgt. Brad Johnson.

That fifth victim was confirmed Monday morning, when police learned a man was taken to a hospital outside Long Beach with non-life threatening injuries, Johnson said.
All victims are males, and four of them are adults and one of them is a juvenile, he said.
The shooting is under investigation as a gang-related drive-by, he said. No further information is currently available. We will update this story as we learn more.
FEBRUARY 16 10:42PM | Four people were transported to local hospitals with gunshot wounds following a shooting late Sunday night, authorities said.
Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) officers dispatched to the 200 block of West Fourteenth Street regarding a shooting at about 9:40PM, said LBPD spokesman Sgt. Bradley Johnson.
Arriving officers found multiple victims, who were all transported to local hospitals by Long Beach Fire Department personnel.
Johnson said there were four confirmed victims, and one possible additional fifth victim.
One victim was in critical condition, while three victims sustained non-life threatening injuries. Police are still confirming whether there is a fifth victim, Johnson said.
LBFD said in a tweet via @lbfirefighters, “We are working hard to save the lives of those shot.”
The conditions of the victims are not known at this time, and the investigation is ongoing. No further information is available. We will update this story as we learn more.
