Four people were arrested in a DUI Saturation Patrol operation conducted by the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) over the weekend, police said Tuesday.

Officers from the LBPD’s traffic section conducted the patrol on February 28 from 7:00PM to 3:00AM and looked for impaired drivers.

The operation netted the following results:

    • 54 enforcement stops conducted
    • 10 standardized field sobriety tests conducted
    • Four DUI arrests made
    • One citation issued to an unlicensed driver
    • One vehicle impounded for the driver being unlicensed
    • Eight traffic citations issued for unsafe driving

Funding for the program was provided from a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
